13-Year Old Wrestling Talk Show Expert Breaking Down Barriers for Autism

Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) July 9, 2007 -- Alex is no stranger to raising awareness for autism as he has been a voice for others with autism since he was six years old telling kids to focus on their gifts and talents. Many individuals with ASD think there is too much focus on the negative and not on the positive aspects of having Autism Spectrum Disorder. While Alex knows that every person on the autism spectrum has challenges, he wants the public to know that kids and adults with AS can succeed at whatever they put their mind to. It is important to get early diagnosis and services which does make a huge difference.

Alex has been on TV, radio and interviewed numerous times always sharing the positives that kids with ASD should embrace. Now Alex is involved in another mission to raise awareness for autism called Wrestling Autism, a national fundraising event.

Alex has been a huge wrestling fan for the past four years. Many kids and adults are huge fans of wrestling, including Jim Carrey, Alex's favorite actor. Alex started hosting his own wrestling talk how online about wrestling last year after having the opportunity to meet and interview WWE superstar Batista on WGRZ-TV in 2005. Since that time his audience has grown because Alex was selected to be the spokesman of Wrestling Autism - to help raise awareness for autism for National Autism Association. Alex was thrilled to be noticed and selected to be the voice for Wrestling Autism and hopes to inspire other kids and adults to get involved.

Alex began hosting his own online talk show in June 2006, Al's Wrestlling Talk, broadcasting live every Saturday at 7PM ET talking about his favorite subject PRO wrestling. Each week Alex prepares for an hour-long talk show where he reviews past PRO wrestling events and shows such as WWE's Raw, SmackDown, ECW , and TNA's Impact, Alex has steadily increased his fan base, which is mostly kids but adults too are listening too. He knows he is in a position to help others, as there are thousands of kids and adults that are wrestling fans.

In January 2007, Alex was interviewed on Total Nonstop Radio to share predictions for an upcoming WWE Pay-Per-View. Yeti and Niko, former hosts of TNR said "this 13-year old phenom awes the wrestling world with his knowledge and his "charisma". It was a great time and a great hour as we unveiled "the KID" as the official voice and spokesperson for Wrestling Autism." Alex said, "I want to do what I can to help others with autism. I am fine with having Asperger Syndrome. I just don't let the label define who I am. I keep telling kids to focus on their gifts, whatever they are and make it happen!"

Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is Big Al's all time favorite pro-wrestling star and Jim Ross (JR) the best ringside announcer ever. He hopes that they will meet one day. For now Big Al is doing what he loves each week, talking about wrestling and making a difference for autism. His slogan is Big Al knows and that's how it goes!
